A Little Piece of Nonsense

Looking back at childhood moments,

touch a nerve that makes us cry,

Makes us laugh until we’re aching. . .

Or they have us asking . . . Why?

What we hope, as we grow older,

Is that we grow wiser too,

But, luckily, when we are young,

That’s not something we need do!

So, this little piece of nonsense,

From absurd, to hearts refrain,

Is the childhood I remember,

Which helped form who I became.
